Corporate event entertainment in Dubai works best when it is planned around the format of the event, not chosen from a list. A conference needs something different from a staff party, and a networking evening needs something different from an awards night. We look at your agenda, your guest count and the venue, suggest a programme, book the acts and manage them on the night, so the entertainment runs to your schedule and not the other way round.
Price: corporate event entertainment usually costs AED 3,500 to AED 45,000, depending on the acts and the length of the programme. AV, staging and lighting are quoted separately. See event entertainment prices in Dubai.
Why a playlist is not enough
A room with a rented microphone and a playlist looks like an afterthought, and guests in Dubai compare every event with the last hotel they were in. Entertainment does three jobs at a company event that catering and decor cannot. It paces the evening, so a 300 guest dinner does not sag between the welcome speech and the awards. It gives people something to talk about with a client they just met. And it tells your guests that the event was planned with care.
What works at corporate events in Dubai
- Live music: a jazz trio or acoustic duo for a cocktail reception, a 6 to 8 piece function band for a dinner with a dance floor. Still the most requested corporate act.
- A DJ with a live element: a DJ with a saxophonist, percussionist or LED drummer feels like a bigger production than a DJ alone.
- A professional MC: essential for anything with an agenda, speeches or sponsors to thank, in English or bilingual English and Arabic.
- Roaming acts: close up magicians, living statues and caricaturists working the floor while people network.
- Cultural acts: belly dance, tanoura and Gulf folk troupes for international guests.
- Light and LED acts: a 5 to 8 minute segment, not the whole night.
Comedians and keynote style entertainers are used sparingly, because content needs approval in advance for language and cultural sensitivity.
Match the act to the format
Staff parties and year end dinners. Live music or a DJ for the room, an MC for speeches and recognition, and one feature act. See gala dinners and award nights for larger formal dinners.
Conferences and networking. Roaming acts in breaks and at registration, and background music rather than a stage show.
Launches and activations. Short, visual and timed to the reveal. See product launch entertainment.
Yacht parties and incentive trips. A DJ and one compact act such as a saxophonist, with sound levels checked with the marina operator.
Seasonal events. National Day, Ramadan and Christmas each have their own programme. See seasonal event entertainment.
Permits and the venue
Public or ticketed events in Dubai usually need a DET entertainment permit. A private company event inside a hotel with a closed guest list usually runs under the venue licence, though this varies by act. Fire and aerial acts need the venue's safety sign off, which can take one to two weeks. We raise these points at the start, not the week of the event.
How to start
Send the date, the venue, the headcount and the agenda on WhatsApp or through the quote form. Set the entertainment budget alongside the venue budget, not after it, and confirm the acts six to eight weeks ahead. The planning guide shows how to build the running order.
