Gala dinner entertainment in Dubai is planned in segments: something elegant as guests arrive, music that lets people talk over dinner, a host who keeps the awards or speeches moving, and one visual moment that becomes the highlight of the night. We plan all of it as one running order for corporate galas, award ceremonies, VIP dinners, charity galas and private black tie events, book the acts, and manage the timing with your venue.
Price: a band, a professional MC and one specialty act for a 300 to 500 guest gala usually costs AED 25,000 to AED 45,000, with AV, staging and lighting quoted separately. See what event entertainment costs in Dubai.
The four parts of a gala evening
Arrival and welcome. The first ten minutes set the tone. Ambient musicians, a living statue at the entrance, roaming performers or a cultural welcome greet guests as they come in.
Dinner. Music that fills the room without drowning conversation: a string group, a pianist, a jazz trio or a small band at a lower volume.
The awards or speeches. A professional MC, in English or bilingual English and Arabic, keeps the agenda on time and holds the room between segments.
The highlight. One main stage moment timed between courses or after the awards: a dance show, an aerial act, a cultural troupe or a short LED or light performance. Then a band or DJ for the dance floor if the evening continues.
Immersive and roaming moments
For galas where guests should feel part of the show, roaming and interactive performers move through the room, appear at tables and create surprise moments away from the stage. They work well in the gap between arrival and dinner, when people are standing and talking.
Themes
Theming matters at Dubai galas. The entertainment can follow a theme from the first act to the last, such as modern luxury, futuristic and digital concepts, Arabian culture, international cultures, classic black tie, or contemporary art and fusion. Tell us the theme early so costumes, music and staging match.
What the venue needs to know
Galas in Dubai hotel ballrooms usually come with house AV and a stage plan. We agree power, stage size, rigging points for any aerial act and load in times with the venue's technical team before the day. Fire, pyrotechnics and aerial rigging need the venue's safety sign off, which can take one to two weeks, so we raise them at the start.
When to book
Book ten to twelve weeks ahead for a gala at a popular ballroom between October and April. For staff parties and smaller corporate dinners, see corporate event entertainment. If the gala includes a product reveal, see product launch entertainment.
